MIT Courseware
The free online education college course program offered by Massachusetts Institute of technology is possibly the most detailed set of free courses available online today. Popularly known as the MIT Courseware, the program covers many college courses.

Khan Academy, a non-profit educational organization provides high-quality free online education on various subjects. Courses are available on video and delivered to match a real class room environment where the teacher takes through the student through the learning process by making notes on the blackboard. Carnegie Mellon University offers free online education courses and materials through a program called Open Learning Initiative.
